Boots splashed in the puddles that formed in the drizzling rain. Brown hair plastered onto his skull. Brown eyes looking aimlessly around the streets of the city.

Xiah forgot the reason he came here. Though, he wondered where he should travel to next. He looked over his shoulder, though he saw nobody behind him. He was sure he heard something though.

'Imaginations...' He mumbled, walking to a more busy street, or at least, as busy it could get with the rain. He wasn't planning to stay the night in this city.

"I want him," Kamui was saying. The rain fell gently around the two figures, their forms backlit by a giant neon billboard on top of a building. His brother sighed, but made no sign to stop him as he leaped from the roof and disappeared into the multicolored haze below. The rain looked like fog from this perspective, and the lights became blurry, as if the world cried. Subaru sighed to himself and waited.

The rain poured on, hiding the gentle landing Kamui made in an alleyway. He pondered killing the drunken man lying in a puddle beside a fallen bin, but thought better of it and moved after his mark instead. His cloak might have made him more noticeable, but in today's weather, it hardly stood out at all from the army of poncho-wearers and umbrella-wielders.

He closed in on his mark, dodging through people but remaining like a mere shadow. The rain helped, it coursed down his face, making tendrils of his black hair, hiding the excited golden glow in his eyes. He licked his lips slowly then went forward.

Kamui came up behind the man and pressed a claw into the small of his back. "Please come with me," he purred, his voice as cold and whispered as the rain.

Xiah looked over his shoulder, not even slightly impressed 'There is no need for you to request my attention. I bid you adieu.' He turned back, ready to make his leave, though stopped dead in his tracks.

'You are hungry and perceive me as food?' He asked, walking towards an alleyway 'There are shops, for you to buy food. I am but a mere emotion.'

Kamui sighed, it was so hard to make people cooperate in this modern world, they all seemed to be growing their own minds at an alarming rate. He swept some of the wet hair out of his face and dropped his hood so it no longer hid his features. "You're not like the others though."

"You are correct," Kamui replied, following the man without any sign of embarrassment or fear. "Tonight I am looking for different Esa. This was my brother's idea, and he knows best."

He smiled at the last comment and stepped in closer. Even though he was slightly shorter than his target and definitely leaner, he was self-assured. "I have never spoken much to prey before. Will you entertain me? Will you be the warmth that blossoms red under the moon for me?"

Xiah had stopped walk now though, as he stood in the alleyway. He turned to look at Kamui 'You have an interesting way with words.' He commented shortly, not sure what to make out, of all that.

'Your brother?  Why, if you already have company. Why search for another?' He, himself, didn't understand the meaning of company in a sense, that he travelled alone. He had parted ways from Tian the moment they entered the city. Holding no desire to meet her once more, after her being brought away by funny looking men.

'I do not provide warmth. All I can do, is sabotage the sky from warming up the soil where I am. You would do better in finding yourself another Esa.'

The Vampire waited as the man spoke. The storm clouds hid his race's deeds from heaven. His golden eyes remained fixed on his chosen prey, staring at him like a cobra poised to strike.

Kamui shook his head, but did not explain which question it was in response to. He leaned in close and placed a hand over where the man's heart would be. His eyes narrowed pleasantly, like a comfortable feline toying with a broken-winged canary. "It's a cold night, traveler."

Then his claws shot out directly forward to pierce the stranger's chest. Kamui got bored easily and often changed plans half way through the first one. He smiled.

'It's a cold night indee-' He choked on his words as he felt the piercing pain of nails impaling his flesh and heart.
Though any other being would've died instantly, Xiah looked down at the hand and started stepping backwards to pull him out.

'You are a strange creature.' He mentioned, half muttering as his wound closed, his coat healing in the process as well. 'What is it, that you want from me, other than entertainment and some kind of a warmth source.'

Kamui retracted his claws and licked his fingers daintily. The smile did not fade, a prey that healed this well was hard to come by. He reached into his cloak instead and pulled out a thin blade. It looked almost like a rapier but was double-edged and had an elaborate hilt. He leveled it at the man.

"You're no less strange than what I am," Kamui whispered. "And that is all I wish from you, this night and many others. Your company, your warmth, and the entertainment."

"Come with me, or I could cut your legs off and drag you? Subaru so hates mess."

Xiah had no wish to get his legs cut off. He liked his boots. 'If you insist.' He finally caved in, though it lacked convincing spirit.

'It seems I am tied down now. There goes my aimless wandering.' Xiah looked over his shoulder for a while, he clearly wanted to be somewhere else. But it could've been him visualizing the loss of his uncertain goal.

'Lead the way, then. Sir.'

Kamui smiled a little more genuinely as the man agreed to do as he said. He put away the sword and pressed in close again, this time with one arm wrapped around the stranger's waist, the other over his torso.

"Hold on tight," he said, even though he didn't really give room for a hold. He did dig in with his own claws though, gripping the soft flesh until he could feel it tear as he lifted into the air, preferring to travel by the rooftops than in a normal human street.

"My name is Kamui," he said as the rain poured onto them in earnest, and the city lights below seemed to run their colors into the gutters. He smiled again and focused on moving. His target seemed to be a giant billboard on a roof.

Xiah winced slightly at the, claws digging into his skin again, thing this stranger had going on. He was starting to regret the idea of having accepted.

'Where, is it that you're so interested in going to?' He asked, not sure how much longer he would hold at the claws in his side.

Kamui stared at him, his lips pressed near his prey's ear. It was like a very deep embrace, if hugs should kill. He smiled, his eyes were blue now rather than gold, and his pupils no longer resembled a cat's. He nodded to the neon sign and the figure sitting just beneath it.

"Home," he said simply, before pushing off another building to send them hurtling towards the rooftop where Subaru waited.

He dropped the man once he was on the roof, leaving him to recover as he rushed to his twin, kissing him full on the lips in greeting. Then he took Subaru's hand in his. "I brought a new slave, Subaru. He's a lot more durable than the other ones."

Kamui's brother watched the stranger sadly for a few seconds, then went forward to offer his hand. "I'm Subaru, what's your name?"

Behind him, Kamui seemed displeased at his brother greeting the E.

Xiah coughed a bit, the rain pouring down like buckets of just drizzling. His mood had dropped considerably low. Covering his eyes with his hands. 'The biggest mistake in my life...' Then he parted his fingers, to look at Subaru with empty eyes 'Xiah...'

No more came from his lips, as he recovered from his injuries. He noticed the one before him was less, cold as the one that had dragged him along. If only he had sufficient reason and emotions to harm them.

'Explain to me why my time has to be interrupted with him threatening to cut my legs off?'  

Kamui glared at them both, his blue eyes turning golden again in the wet gloom. Subaru had his back to him, and kept his smile on as he spoke to Xiah gently. This man's eyes looked like Kamui's sometimes. So that must mean they were both missing something. Maybe they can find it for each other, unless his brother killed Xiah first. "If you agreed to come here with my brother, then possibly what you said first was right."

"Subaru, you don't need to be so nice to an E," Kamui chimed in, approaching them darkly. He placed a foot between Xiah's legs and pressed down with just enough strength to make a point as he leaned forward and stared into his brown eyes, one hand already reaching for his throat. "You're my chosen Esa, from tonight on, you shall be my blood companion. That is all you need to know."

Xiah closed the gap between his fingers again, sighing. 'Was this mentioned before. I would've steered clear from this city.' He muttered, wincing at the pressure on his golden lockets.

'Watch it, fool.' Thunder struck down just a feet away from them. Eyes cold and glaring up at Kamui 'That's your warmth under the red moon bullshit? By God, did you get hit with a hammer as a child or something?' He sneered at him, so much more emotion flowing through his features now.

Kamui didn't flinch, but he did look down at his catch with a little more interest. It bordered on at least an ounce of respect, something he had never afforded an Esa. He did not remove his foot, but leaned down and put his lips to the man's neck, licking up along his jaw.

Then, before Xiah would have a chance to object, he gripped him tightly by the back of the neck and bit into the soft skin at the side, just under one earlobe. Subaru went forward a step, but was held in check by Kamui's expression. He had never looked ... like he was enjoying himself so much.

Xiah didn't back down from Kamui's gaze, his eye twitching from getting his neck licked. It was a funny feeling that made him shiver, but at the same time, it made him want to flail around from disgust.

'Aiyoh...' He let out, his senses responding a little too late. His face contracted into a mixture of held in anger and trying to keep himself from screaming out.

'That fucking hurts...' He muttered, lip curling into a sneer.

Tongue never ceasing for a moment, Kamui took hold of Xiah's brown hair and tugged gently to raise his chin. He ignored the protest and sank his fangs again into the warm flesh, a bit lower this time. Blood trickled and he lapped it up with a soft purr. "You taste good," he murmured. "And it's meant to hurt."

Kamui slid the cloak from his shoulders and threw it to Subaru without looking back. Then he lowered himself into Xiah's lap, finally removing his boot from his crotch as he straddled the man's legs. Then he slid a claw across the clothing that was getting in the way of reaching Xiah's torso, all the while never letting up on the feeding.

Xiah grunted slightly, eyes shut tightly as he felt the teeth sink in again. Though they shot open as he felt Kamui sitting in his lap.

'Aiyoh. Could you do it without sitting so close?' He looked a bit panicked, well, considering his being, it wasn't something he was prepared to in his whole life as an experiment.

'Oi oi oi. Feed, not grope.' He choked out, looking at Subaru for any kind of an explanation on wth was happening to him.

Kamui was engrossed, but he did frown when Xiah raised yet another objection. He bit down harder along the juncture of his neck and shoulder, severing the tendon there with his razor-sharp teeth, before drinking from the wound. His golden eyes closed in contentment again.

Subaru was sitting just beside them still, he had folded Kamui's cloak and was observing the scene with a neutral expression on his face. He smiled benignly at Xiah as their gazes met.

"He has a habit of playing with food I'm afraid," he said gently. Kamui's eyes flickered open and he bit a bit harder, his free hand slipping into Xiah's clothes to rake across his chest. Subaru gave a helpless little shrug. "He is better when he's feeling playful. There is less chance of him accidentally killing you."
