The chamber was silent, well, except for the rustles of the pages being flipped. Emmie was having a hard time concentrating on her book. One, she had made the biggest mistake in her life. Two, the mistake wasn't so easily erase-able. Three, it would arrive any minute now. In short, she had purchased a slave in the spur of the moment.

3 days later, when it would be arrive, she got regrets and hit herself mentally for it every minute now. Though it didn't mean she had to interact with the being. She could just, avoid it. After all. Her library wasn't easy to find with it's hidden doors to make sure nobody who dared to come into this cursed house, would access the library.

The mansion stood on top of a hill. Neighboring houses and towns all had thought up ghost stories about it. Emmie herself kind of didn't really understand any of them. For all she knew, she wasn't murdered here. She was born here, parent less. She was just here one day, having knowledge off the most complicated things, was successful, yet never left her house for it as well. Everything went by computers and phones. The mansion was on itself, plain rich on the outside, with a spooky aura and very futuristic on the inside, with the same spooky aura.

'Would they be mad if I ask them to return the slave? They'll probably open a lawsuit against me. I can't have that. How to reject it without hurting both parties?' She pondered her time away, un-aware the moment of arrival was coming closer and closer.

'Those things look painful, so let's start again. Hello. My name is Emmie, who might you be?' She chose to keep her eyes staring at his hair, than rather at what was down below.

"I'm shadow, mistress." He answered, smiling up at her.  He couldn't help imagining what she'd be doing to him.

'Well, nice to meet you, Shadow?' It was more replied to as a question, than as a certainty.

'Enjoy your stay, while I get back to work.' She started stepping backwards 'You can just help yourself to everything. Well, that was all I guess. Again, was nice meeting you.' She nodded with a shy smile, then turned on her heels. She sighed out of relief with the knowledge, she could avoid him with the so called 'work'.

Shadow smiled and rose after his owner left the room, and went exploring the house.  He looked everywhere, memorizing the layout, for his future plans.  Plans which involved her and more than a bit of torture...
