Linda sighed as she sat under a tree. Adjusting her wrists in the ropes binding her, she squirmed before she brought her knees to her chest. Looking at the fire in front of her, she kept her gaze locked on it as the slavers drank and talked. Slowly shutting her eyes, she yawned before she hung her head and fell asleep.

Kain could see them clearly in the firelight, but they couldn't see anything outside of the glow. He crouched beside fang, the wolf, and whispered something into the beast's ear.  Suddenly, he leapt on one of the slavers, going straight for the throat.  Kain stood, and let loose several arrows, each one striking true.  In less than a minute, they were dead.  Silently he moved to the girl, and cut the ropes.  "A demon..?" He muttered to himself.

Linda glanced up hearing something in the bushes. She growled low before she gasped seeing the wolf. Seeing the slavers get killed off before she looked up at the man. Once the ropes were cut, she moved away and rubbed her wrists gently.

He paid her no heed until he'd retrieved his arrows.  "You're free now." He told her, petting Fang.  

"T-thank you...." Linda watched him before she slowly sat up. She went over to the cart the guards had and dug around it before she took a blanket and wrapped it around her nude body.

Kain sat down by the fire, sighing with relief.  He'd been hot on their trail for four days, with no sleep.  Time now to get some rest.  "You might as well stay here tonight" He told the girl. "These woods are crawling with worse things than slavers."

Linda glanced back at him as he spoke to her before she sighed. Thinking only a moment before she sat down in front of the fire and shut her eyes.

Kain laid back, still clutching his bow.  What would he do now? He couldn't just send a naked girl off in the forest.  

"Why didn't you kill me too?" She asked, looking up at him as she seemed lose interest in the fire. "You could have killed me to. But why didn't you?"

"Because I didn't want to." He answered, truthfully.  He only killed people that deserved it.

"Uh huh...." Linda looked at the man strangely before she shook it off and looked down at the fire.

Kain said nothing more that whole night, he was more interested in sleeping.

Linda soon fell asleep, her body laying down beside the fire as the end of her tail flicked just barely.

Kain didn't awake until well after sunrise.  A hawk swooped down onto his outstretched arm.  "How goes it, Scar?" He whispers.

Linda groaned as she flipped over. She shifted before she yawned and sat up, rubbing her eyes.

Kain sent the hawk off, watching him soar into the air.  He looked at the woman behind him.  "Where are you going to go?" He asked.

"Don't know. I don't really have a place to go so I guess I travel." She said, shrugging before she stood up.

He shrugged.  "I don't really, either.  Just tell me where you'd like to go and I'll take you there."

When she heard the offer, she shook her head. "No, thank you for the offer, but I think i'll go on my own..."

Kain simply shrugged again.  "I'll at least take you out of this forest.  It's become a nasty place."
