She raised her eyebrow. "If you want me to fight you I need a reason. I'm not some performing pony." She growled softly.

"Maybe one of these days you can fight for your freedom." Darkania mused.

The girl's ears perked a little at her statement, and her eyes flicked towards Darkania's eyes, wanting to know if she was joking or not. "Well that would give me something to fight for." She murmured softly.

"If you like the idea. Would you have a home to go back to if you won?"

She just shrugged, looking away from the vampire again. "No. But I would be free." She said quietly.

"I do own other houses. Maybe you would take one?" Darkania offered.

Her brow furrowed slightly as she glanced back up at her. "Why would you do that for me?" She asked.

"If you're good enough while you ARE mine, I wouldn't mind it. I have too many houses anyway."

She tensed slightly before speaking again. "And how long would I have to be... Yours for?" Alyssa wasn't really sure if she wanted to know the answer, or if she wanted to know what being hers entailed.

"How about we try a year." Darkania said softly. "Then we'll fight. You win, you're free, plus I'll give you a house."

She raised her eyebrow again, watching her for a moment before nodding. "Deal. What do I have to do in the meantime?"

"Cleaning. Plus some fighting with me."

"I'll do the fighting part. Not so keen about the whole cleaning thing..." She said with a shrug.

"Not even if I help with the cleaning?" Darkania asked. "You wouldn't have to do all the work. I'm not THAT mean."

She shook her head with a light growl before walking out the room. "I'm going to take a shower."

"Your room has an attached bathroom. Up the stairs, second door on the right." Darkania said, heading toward the living room. "I'll be waiting."
