The lioness backed off from the three men approaching her, snarling like the lioness she was. Her claws had been unsheathed ever since the slavers had dragged her from her cage in the market and thrown her in the van to be taken to her new home. Rage glinted in her eye as she lunged forward, catching one guard on the side of his face with her claws and kicking out at another, only hitting his leg though before the three burly men grabbed her and dragged her out of the van and up the path to the house before knocking on the door, only just being able to subdue the angry, fighting neko.

Darkania opened the front door, and laughed at the scene. "Alyssa, right?" She asked the struggling lioness. "Either way, my name is Darkania."

Alyssa heard the click of the door opening and her actions stilled slightly so that she could see who was going to be the next to try and tame her. Her eyebrow raised slightly as she saw that it was only a woman, and hope of escape trickled into her emotions. "I would say pleased to meet you, but that's clearly not the case." She growled menacingly, clearly not afraid of her. The top and pair of shorts that the lioness was given when they left were already ripped a little and smeared with some of the guard's blood, and her wild hair seemed to mirror her wild attitude.

"Could you sign here please." One guard asked, panting slightly. "And where would you like us to put her?" He continued.

Darkania eagerly signed, then smiled. "Alyssa? Do you like killing people?" She asked.

"I kill if I have to to survive." She replied, stepping away from her as the guards left.

"Come in the house." Darkania said, moving to the side so Alyssa could enter. "Fighting is a yes by the looks of those guards..." Darkania mused.

"And why would I do that? I have a much better chance of escaping if I stand out here." She growled, getting ready to run.

"Why do you want to escape from me?" Darkania asked, surprised. "It's not like I'll make you call me mistress. Give me a chance?" She asked softly.

Alyssa lowered her ears in annoyance that she had actually made a point there. "Because, even though you are a woman, you will undoubtably end up like all the other masters I have had before." She growled softly, but accepted the fact that the only place she could escape to was the slave market like all the other times. With a shrug, the girl walked into the house, tense and ready to fight.

"Are you hungry?" Darkania asked, closing the door. "I'll want to get to know you better later, but for right now, we should eat."

Her eyes were narrowed slightly, not trusting this woman, but deciding that for now she may as well eat and wash before she left. "Yes." She said, her tone a little gentler this time but still wary.

Darkania led the way through the front hall and through a door on the left. "Kitchen's here." She said. "Help yourself to anything you want." She added, opening the fridge and taking out a transfusion bag of blood.

She followed her silently, her eyes narrowing a little when she saw Darkania taking a blood bag out of the fridge, confirming her suspicions that she was a vampire. Damn. This would make it a lot harder for Alyssa now. "Thanks." She muttered softly, constantly on her guard while she looked through the fridge. Finding some ham in there and some bread in the cupboard, she decided to make herself a sandwich.

"You need to relax. No one's going to attack you, Alyssa." Darkania promised, biting into the bag and quickly drinking all the blood. She threw the bag in the garbage can. "I prepared a bedroom for you."

She began to eat her sandwich, glad that she had been able to prepare it herself so that she knew it wasn't drugged. At the vampire's words, she shrugged, but relaxed a little. "You're a vampire. Of course you're going to attack me at some point." She replied, shrugging again. "But thank you."

"I wouldn't attack a companion. Not unless we're sparring." She grinned. "And you're welcome."

"Companion? Is that what you've bought me for?" She asked, still a little wary despite her words.

"Yes. This is a mansion. It's dreadfully large for one person. I was lonely." Darkania said softly.

"Why didn't you just buy a pathetic house-cat then?" She asked, not quite sure how she was going to handle this kind of life.

"I also wanted a sparring partner." Darkania grinned. "A good fighter who could match or exceed my skills."
