Carly's anger went down a few notches as she blushed at Sheek's comment.  SHe thought for just a second before speaking, "Vampires can't stand garlic."

"Who can," Sheek chuckled. "It's just a food, it does nothing to us. What should it do? Make us run away screaming in agony at the scent or taste? Myth."

A smile graced her face before Carly moved on to the next question, "Vampires can't cross large bodies of water, like rivers and lakes?"

"We can cross them, but because it is the universal healing agent, we are unable to fully immerse ourselves in water. Crossing running water is a myth."

"Vampires burn in sunlight?"

"Sunlight kills newborns. Freshly turned to a year. Half myth."

Now getting off the myth topic, Carly abosrbed what he said.  "So if I did get turned into a vampire... I couldn't go outside unless it's cloudly or a night?"

"For a year yes. You will also as I said have to be kept in the house to avoid unnecessary deaths."

 Carly bit her lip, apprhensive about wanting to be turned into a vampire now.  Although it couldn't be that bad, with Sheek to keep her company.  "I wouldn't kill anyone!"  She muttered quite loudly, her ears pinned once more.

"I said the same thing," Sheek whispered. "Which is why at the age of four I killed someone, right?" he asked her, gently petting her ears. "I said I would never kill. But bloodlust overtook me."

"I'll be different than you!  Stronger. I would never succumb to a need to feed or kill."  Her ears remained pinned as he stroked them, even though Carly was growing calmer by the second.  "How did you become a vampire, who changed you?"
