Maes stood over the dead body of the slaver, his red eyes calming back down to their normal dark gray.

Looking up at the cage nearest him, he grinned and called over a new, less incompetant, slaver.

"I want her," he said. The slaver pulled her out, Maes paid him, and took the leash. Picking her up, he ran home.

"Be good and you won't get killed. I have a temper problem. This is your new home. What is your name?"

Larissa watched him kill the slaver then turned her attention to someone beside her.She watched the man pay the new slaver and she was taken from the cage. She was surprised when he picked her up and ran them to his home.

"My name is Larissa." She said.

"Good. Larissa, if you behave, you may call me Maes. I do not wish to have to make you a statistic on murder. And I don't want to have to torture you." Maes smiled, but it was cold, dark. "Are you hungry, thirsty, tired, or do you wish to clean or get new clothes?" he asked her softly as he walked into the huge, dark mansion and set her down with a small echoing click of her shoes in the huge stairway.

Larissa looked up at him then around the home. She didnt like the way he smiled at her. It actually scared her slightly.

"Im starved actually and a shower would be so wonderful" Larissa said with a small smile.

"Do it then, if you don't try to escape, you will be my friend. Otherwise....you will be my fucktoy. I think my last fucktoy....I haven't found all the pieces of her still...that was two years ago...." Maes smiled that cold smile again.

She cringed a little when he said something about his last "fucktoy", but she didn't think so much about actually escaping. She looked to him for a moment and then decided a shower would be best. She walked to the stairs and found the nearest bathroom. She undressed herself while the water warmed up. She climbed in, feeling the water running over her body. It was the first real shower she had in a long time.

Maes smiled when she cringed, but as he played with a longer piece of hair in his hand, he heard her go upstairs. When he heard the water running, Maes went up and knocked on the door.
 Through it he called "What do you want to eat Lissy?" he automatically gave everyone nicknames and wondered how she would react to it.

Larissa stopped when she heard him say Lissy. She didnt much care for nicknames but it seemed she didnt have much of a choice.
"Im not picky. But...I have never had fish before..." She said over the sound of the running water.

"Ok," Maes said. He left her alone and went down to make some grilled salmon. They would have to go clothes shopping later.

After Larissa turned the water off she looked in the mirror and smile. She tossed her old clothes into the trash and sighed.
"Do you have anything I can wear thats clean?" She called out to him as she looked out the door.

"Yea," Maes called from downstairs. "I have a shirt on my bed, it should be big enough. If not, if you think you will be safe, you can come get my robe." There was no suggestion in his voice, just simple statement of fact.

Larissa walked out of the bathroom and went down the hall in search of his bedroom and after several doors later she found the one she was looking for. She didn't take the time to notice how the room was designed, but she found the shirt he was talking about. She pulled it over her head, looked in the mirror and shrugged. It would have to do.
"The food smells wonderful." She said as she decended the stairs.
She walked into the kitchen and watched him. Not really sure what to do with herself for the time.

Maes heard her walking around and sighed. After a while, she came down.

"Good, because you're eating it." Maes dropped the plate on the table and pointed to her and then it. "Eat." He left the room.

"I think I can handle that." She said as she took her seat at the table.
After she took the first bite she smiled and looked at him.
"It's wonderful." She told him.
She finished the rest of the food and then leaned back in the chair with a full stomach. "Thank you." She said simply.

"Yea yea," Maes said as he reentered the room. "Clothes time."

When Larissa finished the last bite of food on the plate she took the dishes to the sink and looked back at him.
"Clothes time? Does that mean I actually get to go...shopping?" She asked with a small smile starting to form on her face and her ears perking up.
She wasn't much of a girlie girl, but she hadn't been in a public place as far as she knew. All she remembered was the slavers.

"Yes," Maes said with a gentle smile. He liked Larissa. "You get to go shopping with me."

She looked down a bit then back to him and asked "So what will I wear outside the house...?"
She walked over to him and stood there wondering if what she was wearing would be fine for the time being as she scratched her ear a little.
