You could see by the look in their eyes how scared they were.  The handlers of the seventeen year old slave were extremely anxious, imagining how the black haired woman might miraculously break the power blocking metal bracelet fastened tightly around her wrist, and then kill them slowly and painfully.  Azula wished it were possible, and was extremely angry it was not.  The bracelet only came off when her new master scanned his finger print into it. Yet even without her powers, the five foot eight inch girl was still quite frightening.  

Her navy blue eyes were daggers, her presence screamed confidence and superiority, her movements were graceful and nimble when she moved.  Her reflexes were superior to the average human's, her strength nearly matched a full-grown man's, far exceeding the norm for a teenager.  Her skin had a small tan hint to it, her body had a beautiful silhoutte, her breasts were a bit large for her slender body, but were average compared to some other slaves.  Her legs were long and muscular, her waist was narrow and tapered, all of her body gently covered in lean muscle.  Her face, with high cheek bones, large eyes surrounded by long lashes, full pursed pink lips, and a straight nose, was also aesthetically pleasing.

Her mind however, was far less appealing.  It was full of memories, memories of frozen corpses, mutilated faces and facades of fear belonging to her previous owners, just before they were killed.  At the beginning of her time as a slave, Azula was not so quick to kill.  She was less cruel, more light-hearted, more likely to smile.  Yet whenever her master's attempted to beat her, or wanted to rape her, that's when she would strike.  Yet after time, she realized all men were destined to end up horrible, and began killing within a second of arriving at their houses.  After her last murder, her twenty-seventh, a power blocking device had been developed.

Azula now unhappily wore that device around her wrist.  A simple long sleeves blue dress down to her knees covered her body, a cloth belt was wrapped tightly around her small waist.  The two handlers led her towards the door, yanking roughly on the chain connected to the shackles on her wrist.  They knocked loudly, Azula keeping her face clean of all emotions as she waited to see her new owner, ready to hate him like she despised all the others.

chrono's eyes flicked to the door and his tail swayed slowly "finnaly" he said mostly to him self and opened the door as the men knocked he looked over the girl and smiled wide his tail giving a few twitches "off with you" he told the guards and nodded to the girl before leading her inside and shutting the door, he looked the girl over for any imperfections and smiled wide "i can tell they fear you... normally when i get a slave the are bruised like none other..." he said before grinning to her a bit "im chrono... and you might be?"

Azula's blue eyes scanned over Chrono, a bit surprised by the wings and tail, but she was no where near frightened of him.  He was just like everyone else, she told herself, he can be killed.  In no way did she appreciate his roving eyes, or the way he spoke to her, like she was a harmless that he was superior to.  She followed him inside, not bothering to look around.  The houses of her buyers were all expensive, nothing new here.

"I am Azula, can't say it is nice to meet you.  And just the thought of me getting beaten and bruised is humorous, if not ridiculously stupid.  I kill my handlers and masters before they even get close to laying a finger on me.  I don't suppose you'll be any different."  In fact, Azula knew for a fact he would be.  With the bracelet binding her powers over liquid and ice, it would be much more difficult to kill Chrono, but she was not going to let him know that.

"What will we do now?"

he stared at her blankly before smiling wide his tail swaying back and forth... he quite enjoyed the ability to read minds... well when he could he was not quite the master of it as he was trained mostly in combat and martial arts alot and alot of other self defense and offensive attacks and the powers he had came naturally, his demon strength just adding to all the damage he could do normally

he then raised a brow as he listened to her speak and nodded to her "alright... then come at me if you wish to kill me" he said softly before grinning at her with a sly smile... "also what would you enjoy to eat?" he asked casually

What he said next unsettled Azula, but it did not show on her unreadable, emotionless face.  She would gladly kill him, she just needed her bracelet off.  No way did the woman want Chrono to know about her current lack of powers, she she quickly came up with a hopefully believable excuse,

"You haven't hurt me yet, so I won't kill you as of now."  With how confident he acted, Azula was not even sure if she could kill him if her powers were intact.  She could at least try and remove the bracelet,

"I would like just a piece of toast if that's alright.  On a different note, you need to put your thumb on this bracelet to confirm my safe arrival at your house."  Her lie was seamless, but Azula did not know if it would fool Chrono.

he raised a brow to her "ah?... alright then..." he said it easily seen he did not believe her and once he herd her want for toast he started to walk off he then snickered and looked back to her hearing the rest of what she said "you really want that off don't you?.." he said softly and grinned a bit and just walked off into the kitchen his tail wagging

The skeptism in Chrono's made his disbelief blatantly obvious, which resulted in Azula cursing herself in a murmur underneath her breath.  Her legs extended in long strides as she followed Chrono to the kitchen, frustration showing on her face, anger emitting from her body when she saw his tail wagging.  His own happiness upset the woman, and it showed in her cold tones of voice,  "No, I don't want it off, I just don't want the slave agency I came to sending people after me because you did not check in."

he looked to her and smiled a bit before starting to look her over as he herd her rebuttal and laughed "find then... ill take it off.. because im more trusting then your other masters..." he said taking hold of her hand with the bracelet on it and lifted it up to kiss her hand and then grabbed the bracelet type thing and raised a brow to it... he knew exactly what to do with it he just wanted to make it seem he didn't... as he had just took the way they held her powers down and copied that and just set it into her body... all with just his touch, though he did it that way.. because he wanted her to think she might be getting lucky... he smiled to her before placing his thumb on it and once that was done he slipped it off of her and looked to her with a smile

A long, drawn out sigh fully explained Azula's growing impatience with Chrono.  How hard was it to take off a stupid bracelet.  But soon enough, it finally released its grasp on her wrist, thus her powers.  Yet when she tried to use them, attempted to freeze the blood and water in Chrono veins, thus him, nothing happened, the man still moved freely.  Azula's confusion was written all over her face.  Either Chrono had some sort immunity to her powers or they were still bound up inside her.  When the woman remembered how Chrono did not kow what the bracelet was, her face became normal.  "How about that toast, I fucking starving?"

he smiled to her before starting to blink at the odd expresion on her face and snickered a bit "are you sure you don't want to kill me now?" he asked her as he went into the kitchen and grabbed a peace of bread it burst into flames and he handed it to her as he did the flames went out and the bread was a perfect golden brown, want some butter also?" he asked softly

"Yes."  Her voice was adamamant, "I'm quite sure.  Killing you would only result in me being sent to another master."  Her mind continued to search for her powers, but they had not come back.  Maybe it took a few minutes for the braclet's affects to wear off, she told herself.  The burning bread did not frighten her, nothing did.  She expected a black piece of toast, yet she was happy to take the perfectly toasted slice in her hands.  "No, plain bread it fine."  She then folded the bread twice and swallowed it whole.  "I'd like to take a solitary shower, where exactly is the bathroom?"  After emphasizing the word "solitary", Azula prayed being around water would restore her powers.  

he blinked slightly giving her an odd look when she ate it whole he closed his eyes and shook his head before blinking and grinning at her "hmm solitary show.... down the hall to the right" he said pointing towards a door out of the kitchen and then started to cook something for him self his tail swaying

His grins irked Azula for some reason, but she did not comment on them, but left the room, walking quickly downt he hallway, and then into a bathroom on the right side.  She shut though door, before hurredly taking off her blue dress and undergarments.  She then stepped into the tiled shower, not bothering to shut the curtains, to eager to start the water.  It came out in hot streams, quickly fogging up the background and turning Azula's skin a faint pink.  She adjusted the nozzle, making the downfall of water colder, hopefully triggering her powers.  Closing her eyes in frustration, the woman desperately tried to freeze the water on the floor, and was surprised when it stayed liquid.  The bracelet was off, why did her powers not work?  

he quickly cooked up something but let it sit because it was hot, he soon fallowed after her and stood back in the fog and grinned a bit listening to the thoughts he could do such with and grinned a bit before speaking up from the fog "its true... i trust my slaves.. but they have to work before i give it to them... your powers are dormant.. and they will be unless i wish them otherwise" he said softly and started to walk for the door his tail swaying happily still

The voice coming from the fog startled Azula, and when she realized who it belonged to, rage filled her.  She reached for the curtain of the shower and quickly slid them across, blocking the man's faint view of her.  His words angered her further, but they at least explained why her powers did not work.  She spoke quickly, "You say your slaves have to work for their powers.  What is your definition of work, what do I need to do to get them back?"  

he grinned a bit as he took the handle of the door starting to open it he looked back with his tail swaying behind him "you will have to change your ways..." he said giving her a faint answer and just walked out slipping the door shut before he went to eat his food ((ni ni ^^))

Change her ways?  Azula had not even the faintest idea what he meant.  She opened her mouth to argue, but then heard the click of the door, meaning Chrono had left.  She finished up bathing quickly, knowing her efforts were pointless until her powers came back.  She toweled off before putting her undergarments and dress back on, making a mental note to ask for new clothes.  Once she was in the kitchen, Azula launched into a question, "Change my ways?  What the fuck does that mean?"

he looked up to her when she came in and smiled and nodded his tail swaying "yes change your ways..." he said and then shook his head a bit not answering her "i want you to think about how you are now.. what kind of person you are now... once you have spent some time on this... i will then help you with something else" he said with a smile

Thin black eyebrows knitted together at Chrono's lack of response.  Her full lips pursed, her eyes narrowing.  Why was he being so difficult, so vague about what he wanted?  Azula attempted to do what he asked, replying quickly in cold tones, "What I am now is a negative, un-trusting, hate-filled and anti-slavery type person... I don't think I need to change at all."  She raised an eyebrow, daring him to state her flaws.
