Why do I always think of decent things to say to people after the fact, but at the time, my mind is completely blank?

*turns around in chair to look at girl on the compy behind me at the library* She is so cute... but I have nothing to say! *cries self to death*

the first half is simple you kinda panic with someone if your put on the spot. prime example the "i like turtles" boy tho he knew it was coming. but the main point is your brain goes oh poopy. what do i do and you say something that you would kick yourself for. then as you calm down your brain goes back to normal.

as for the other bit if i was a woman (e_e tho 2 old ppl have called me a woman by mistake before i spoke ((they didnt notice the mass os stubble somehow)) id start with a nice comment about her hair like "oh your hair looking lovely today. it really brings out your lovely features" and so forth.

Trouble with being a girl who likes girls is that it is almost impossible to tell if the girl you like likes girls.

And I just have no excuse to go and walk up to this chick... I always see her at the public computer lab I go to, and I never have a thing to say to her.

I'd start with "Hi"

I'd start with getting to know them, to be honest. Whether you can come up with a pickup-line or not, without knowing them, it's probably not worth going after.

If your really interested in her, try to befriend her. You may find it easier than you think. Or, you may realize that beauty is only skin deep. Either way~ I'm the socially inept one, so my advice is probably worthless. Only things I've ever learned from social interactions.

People suck in general, get to know someone before flirting with them, and things are never what they appear to be. If you go with pick-up lines, it may work. but, think about the kind of person that they'd actually work on. Probably no one you'd actually like to be with for longer than one night, a week at tops...

I would go up and say hi, except it seems kinda creepy to me. I mean, it's a computer lab, and so people don't really talk to one another. They just go and sit on the compy for a few hours and then leave. So walking up and saying "hi" is a little weird.

...... saying anything would be a little weird. "Hi" is just the most normal and flexible one you can use. Either that or wait until class is out and then say "Hi"

Being a girl, I think I would find pick-up lines and the such a little creepy O.o I'd just like a guy to come up to me, say hi, and then just start a friendly conversation rather than try to be clever or witty...

But meh, that's just my input

Lame warcraft pickup lines that I and Dylan were messing around with. Dylan's character was really sadistic sounding. >.> it kept mentioning butter, rope, and Goblin jumper cables... ._.;

The rope and jumper cables I can get, but the butter? Now that's just freaky. XD

I do like that "You look like my next girlfriend!" line, though.

See, I use lines because either A) people find them funny and they make good ice breakers or B) the person thinks its corny and I still have an excuse to talk to them.
Either way, I'm in.

Update: I finally got to talk to her! We ahve the same lunch period as well as compy lab, and we had the good fortune of reaching for the same desert. I have never been so glad for the existance of oreo cheesecake. ^^
